Damian Mifsud – CEO
Damian has been involved in the payments industry since 1998, in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Malta for a variety of multinational organisations including Barclaycard Merchant Services, First Data Merchant Services (Omnipay), MBNA, and MasterCard®. This covered both domestic and multi-currency/regional environments in high level consultant/management roles.
He was also one of the early members of Altair Financial Services where he established both the Operational and Business Development functions. Prior to this Damian was a consultant to the Office of the Prime Minister (Malta) leading a number of public service reform initiatives. He has a focus of quality and top end customer services. His passion for success keeps him motivated to provide consistent high quality solutions.
Michael Lucas – Head of Compliance and Product Development
Michael is an expert in the field of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance and fraud having worked for some of the largest financial institutions in compliance and AML functions, including Mizuho Corporate Bank, Trafigura, CitiBank and Lloyds Banking Group. Prior to QGen, Michael was head of compliance at Altair Financial Services responsible for managing compliance for both B2B and B2C working with all the regulators and financial institutions to help design innovative product models within the boundaries of international law. This covered the USA, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. At QGen, Michael is responsible for all the compliance issues and product development of our back office functions such as Know Your Customer (KYC) application management.
Andy Pinks – Head of Financial Crime and KYC Management
Andy has been working in the fraud sector for over 10 years now, holding senior positions at a number of well recognised businesses including HSBC where Andy was responsible for establishing their fraud department in Bangalore, India. Andy has a very strong grasp of payment fraud and is practiced in utilising a variety of fraud systems to mitigate our client’s fraud risk. His exposure to a wide variety of markets, including personal banking, card programmes, online retail, mean he is able to support a variety of clients in a consultative role helping to strengthen their existing controls. At QGen he oversees the various AML and fraud functions we have whilst also providing consultancy when required. |
